Hi there, I’m Verity and welcome to my blog!
I'm currently 16 years old and have lived right in the heart of Wellington City for my whole life.
Born and bred into a household with a heavy music and film influence, I tend to indulge in quite a variety of different genres. I work casual hours at Aro Video which is a small, independent video shop in Aro Valley, founded by my dad, Andrew Armitage.
I’d love to travel the world one day and am really keen on getting to know more about other cultures and beliefs. I love art and photography and I enjoy taking a visit to the art gallery in my spare time.
At the moment, I am currently in my last year at high school and attending a small school for teenagers with mental illness as I transition back into Wellington High School. I’m studying English with Philosophy, Music, Media Studies, Photography and Journalism.
I first started this blog in mid 2014. I hardly ever updated it and I didn't have the motivation to write what I had the potential to write. I think it's fair to say I wasn't in the right head space for blogging at the time. However, I spent the whole of 2015 as both an inpatient and an outpatient at an adolescent psychiatric hospital. Which is where I created my website, Teen Recovery.
Teen Recovery is an online resource for those who are striving towards recovery from mental health issues so feel free to have a little nosey and check that out too!
